Yakisoba - Japanese fried noodles sauteed with seaweed, parsley,
snowpea leaves, toyomansing, sesame oil & garlic
Boomerang & Ninja Stars fruit salad - apples, pineapple & strawberries
1 Sesame Goma Daifuku snack
1 Fortune Cookie
1 Endangered Species Chocolates Square
1 Silk Vanilla Soymilk

Japanese bento lunch today consisted of:

Yaki Soba - fried noodles with sautéed garlic, seaweed, mushrooms, baby bok choy… Daifuku treat, Teriyaki Nori snack, fresh pineapple chunks, sweet potato chips (Korean) & a mango smoothie.

When I started this blog, I didn’t count on my camera breaking! Here, finally, are some of the bento lunch photos I promised from the first couple weeks of school!

2nd Week of School

Day 1: Sandwich (made with organic white bread, veganaise, organic mustard, baby arugula & vegan sandwich slices, one slice of Follow Your Heart vegan mozzarella cheese) cut with Japanese sandwich shapes with face stamps, container of pretzel golfish, container of cubed pineapple & mango chunks, a Zen Soy chocolate & vanilla pudding, one bottle of Orchid Island “fresh squeezed” OJ.

Lunches for 1st week of school!

First week of 1st Grade lunches:

3 days of school this week included…

Day 1: Mini-ziti pasta with vegan meatballs & Rao’s marinara sauce, hummus, sliced baby carrot sticks & pretzel crisps (for dipping in the hummus), , container of cubed pineapple & sliced organic strawberries, one silk chocolate soymilk.

Day 2: Sandwich (made with organic white bread, veganaise, organic mustard, baby arugula & 4 slices of vegan sandwich meat) sliced into 4 triangles, a baggy of Tings, container of cubed pineapple & sliced organic strawberries, one So Delicious Plain Yogurt (made with coconut milk) and one silk chocolate soymilk.

Day 3: Angel-hair pasta with asparagus (chopped into very small bite-sized pieces) & vegan meatballs (which were fried until crispy), container of apple slices, hummus, sliced baby carrot sticks, pretzel crisps and one silk chocolate soymilk.
